Department of Commerce ARRA Office
The Commonwealth of the Northern Marianna Islands (CNMI) American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Office is intended to serve as the guiding resource for all reporting and transparency requirements set forth by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The CNMI’s ARRA office is housed under the Office of the Lt. Governor and is directly overseen by the Secretary of Commerce.
The CNMI ARRA office was set up specifically to provide maximum public oversight, while encouraging private sector participation in ARRA projects from the onset of the funds becoming available to completion of projects. It is with the spirit of job creation and economic activity that the CNMI intends to ensure that all funds available under the ARRA are spent with accountability and transparency. The CNMI ARRA office will work hand-in-hand with the CNMI Office of the Public Auditor to ensure that all requirements are adhered to in an effort to avoid waste, fraud, and abuse of ARRA funds.
