The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) serves both management and staff by providing personnel management advice and services in the fulfillment of the Offices' duties. OPM?s responsibilities encompass all aspects of personnel management and administration and include, but are bnot limited to, the development and promulgation of personnel policy, staffing, position classification, employee relations, employee development and training, employee benefits and services, incentives and awards, performance evaluation, employee health services, employee safety and accident prevention, labor management relations, personnel management program evaluation, and records and reports.
The Office of Personnel Management is divided into three sections:
- Development and Staffing
- Classification and Compensation
- Employee Employment Relations
Each section works collaboratively and with the administrative support staff in fulfilling the responsibilities enumerated above. Each staff member of OPM helps to implement the system of personnel administration for the Commonwealth Government to assist in providing the public with quality government services.
